Homemade Doughnuts. Such a simple treat to make, and surprisingly really yum. We dressed ours up in powdered sugar, cinnamon/sugar, homemade chocolate frosting leftover from the cake and dipped in a little concoction my mom made, and some store bought vanilla frosting. the doughnut holes were a must. can't wait to make more.
the whole making our own doughnuts was brought about by this neat little tool we picked up at the grocery store. a cookie cutter/doughnut cutter. you can see it in the first and second picture. the center comes out so you can use it for cookies or whatever. plus it had the simple old fashioned doughnut recipe right on the back of the package! wicked awesome.
